You Asked, We Listened

Over the upcoming weeks and months, you will start to notice changes to Proudi products as we begin a soft relaunch of our brand new packaging.

These changes have been implemented in response to feedback that Proudi have received from our valued customers and stockists over the past few years.  We are thrilled that after much discussion, planning and preparation, these changes are coming into effect.

Waste Reduction

The most pressing of these changes has been our efforts to minimise waste for ourselves and consumers.  We have had many customers get in touch recommending we attempt to minimise the amount of plastic packaging we use for our products.

Proudi have now partnered with APCO (Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation) to establish ways we can reduce our waste and encourage consumers to recycle their Proudi packaging.

Our outer cardboard box has been approved by APCO as recyclable via regular kerbside recyclables collection.  When designing our inner plastic packaging, we went to extra lengths to ensure the plastic could be recycled via soft plastics programs through local supermarkets.

If recycled appropriately, our new packaging creates zero waste for consumers.  So, you can purchase Proudi knowing you are doing your best to reduce waste.

Product Quality

We have also received feedback over the years regarding ice build-up inside the individual plastic packets.  This was caused by occasional slight temperature differences in freezer storage facilities, freezer vehicles and shop freezers as the product was transported through its supply chain.  Our new vacuum sealed inner packets will prevent this from occurring in the future.

While the ice build-up didn’t impact the safety and nutritional qualities of the product, it may have contributed to additional liquid forming inside the inner packets as the patties defrosted.

Convenience    

This leads us to our final change: Improving the convenience of serving Proudi to your dogs and cats. We have made efforts to eliminate the risk of newly formed liquid leaking from the inner packets as the Proudi patties defrost in your fridge. This makes cleaning up after feeding Proudi an easier task.

We would also like to express our gratitude to the stockists and consumers who would love to see more Proudi recipes hit the shelves.  We are excited to announce that we have new recipes in the early stages of development that will be ready for release throughout 2022!
